Gave dp's a try the last two weeks for the first time. Seems like one of two things happens. You catch a coon the first night no problem. Then every night after all of the marshmallows are gone EXCEPT the ones in the trap. Or, just the marshmallows are gone everyday and no coon. I know sometimes this is a possum issue, but in every location? Coon trapping is done as of this morning due to the winter blizzard warning. I'm thinking after this, maybe a dirt hole near by with a standard foothold. I caught more coon in blind trail sets with 220's.

Agreed mice. I used large marshmallows and pull only do’s. I stab one on the trigger and tear one in half and put on top. I frequently have the loose marshmallows gone and then the mice eat the top half of the one stabbed on the trigger, leaving the bottom half. Maybe they chip their tooth on the trigger and are sad so they leave, who knows.

This happens a lot after the first catch with DPs.
