Hopefully this is the first of many. I set a goal of 30.

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

Careful in how you handle that mink with the ice clinging onto it. Easy does it, eh?

Thanks. It will be tough with the weather we have had. Hopefully it straightens out one way or the other.

What kind of weather are you worried about.Mink and other predators move well and hunt hard during storms.
Way to go on the mink.

Boco,
Our weather has been so up and down, it's crazy. Can't remember a start to a season like this ever. Too much water for one thing. Can't check some traps for several days. Or it's cold just enough to be a nuisance. Either ice up or not. Plus, the ground is so soft I cannot get into spots because I do not want to rut things up with my 4 wheeler. Water is just getting back to normal now but Sat they are calling for an inch of rain and highs around 50. We still have standing corn and beans around, quite a bit. Which is way out of the norm around here. Even dome of the farmers are struggling with the weather. Lol

I see Hogwild, constant changing temps, especially around the freezing mark when there is lots of water on the landscape makes trapping a challenge for sure.
