Anyone else feel that quake @ 0830 ??

Yeah. That was a weird one. Went on for a long time here. Had a rolling motion but lacked the hard snap they usually have.

yep i felt it. sliced a hole i my lynx while i was shining it. now i have to sew it up

They are saying it was centered in the Susitna valley, so Dirt sounds like you were close to the epicenter.

Worse one I ever felt. Thought the house was going down. Lot of cracking noises.

it is bad.bother said no power in wasilla. lots damage. traffic jams and chaos.

Felt it down here too, but it wasn't as bad here....the one down in southeast a few years back hit us a lot harder. Hope the boys on the coast are heading for high ground, Fox news just had a tsunami warning

Trooper said he had a call from his daughter in Anchorage. She said they are evacuating tall buildings and Minnesota drive east of the airport collapsed

My Granddaughter was on the 4th. floor at Providence with a patient when it hit. I talked to her between the 7 and the 5.6 and could hear people in the background in the dark talking loud. They cleared the floor sent everyone home to drive in the chaos. She made it home safe and home still okay so far.

Definitely felt it here. Thought it was a pack of wolverines coming through. Decided not a good morning to take the dog to the beach with tsunami warnings and all.

Skwentna had a 4.5, 1/2 hour ago.

First earthquake I have felt since moving to Alaska. Was in Anchorage outside running a jackhammer when it hit and felt it but don't think I got the whole effect of it. The wife and daughter were pretty shook up being in side with all the lights going off and all the sounds of things falling and glass breaking. Glad everyone is safe and no damage at home , hopefully everyone else came out of this as good or better then we did.

Still a lot of small aftershocks going on.



We've been getting a lot of small quakes for the last couple of years. It was that way before the '64 quake. Hope not, but I'm afraid the pressure is building up for another big one.



Just pulled this off the AK earthquake centers page at 9:20 pm Alaska time, 11/30/18.

Anyone know if Anchorage International is damaged, I hear its shut down, was hoping it was just due to the aftershocks. I need to fly through on my way back home in a couple days.Would hate to be stuck in Seattle.

They said on news airport has been opened back up and are trying to get caught back up on flights. Not sure if all runways are open or not.

Still feeling aftershocks now.

that's good news. Was considering just chilling here in Paradise, rather than sit seatac.

Called my neighbor on the little Su and he said my front porch roof is sagging bad on the NE corner, also indicated that HUNDREDS of temblor's have been recorded. Guess I now have to find someone to brace it that's NOT busy. Ted Stevens opened up late yesterday afternoon, no runway damage reported but lights, water pipes and glass were damaged in the terminal, no delays for today, at least for now.
