What's the story like getting him...?

Not a big story really. Saw him a couple times last year but knew he looked like a younger deer so let him go.
Saw him on opening day this year on Saturday but was back in the trees where I couldn't get a clear shot. I will not take a marginal shot either through brush or running. I do not want to wound anything needlessly!

Then saw him again Sunday back in the trees chasing a doe. He ended up chasing her by my stand at 20-25 yards but was moving fairly fast and was in and out of my shooting lane too quick for a good shot.

Did not see him Monday and thought I had lost my chance at him.

Then he showed himself again Tuesday evening but again could not get a clear shot.

Wednesday morning he was back chasing a doe and finally stopped in an opening so I had a good clear shot. He was only 35 or so yards away so it was an easy shot. He ran 20 yards at most and piled up.

I still can't believe my luck that he stayed around my area that many days.

Good job. Most of them don't get to live very long in my area.
