As cool as it is the value is probably less than a lighter colored one. You say not uncommon. How many have you caught?

As cool as it is the value is probably less than a lighter colored one. You say not uncommon. How many have you caught? 2X...I believe this would be a $1 coon based on color. I've caught a lot of dark coons over the years but none I would consider black, most of the blacker ones I've caught have always had more of a typical coon tail.

Seen a huge black none sell at the growney Wagon about 5 years ago for $101
Seen the guys check in the parking lot so not hearsay

Pretty neat I think. I have never seen a coon that dark. Get it tanned for the wall. I have brother that trapped an albino skunk years ago. Only skunk he deemed worthy of skinning. I'm glad he sent it off. It actually brings more conversation than the nice montana cats hanging on his wall.
