someone on tman knew the guy that had the MN record. I'm pretty sure that was high 50s. I have seen a 42 lb, and that thing was huge.

Very nice. More pale than the average cat up in my area. I have a picture of one that has pretty gray and true blue colors or so it looks in the coat from a trail cam. It was young one and had a sibling with that sure did look like a lynx cross.

They have the big Cat contest in Texas where you have to shoot 5 Coyotes before you can enter a cat. I would like to see what the average cat has weighed in the last 10 yrs or how ever long it has been going. I just moved from San Angelo. I use to get all of the dead animals. The winners have ranged from 28# to 34# nothing like these numbers

The cat I refer to that Sid caught was weighed in by the MN DNR. Not much more I can add.

Not bobcat, but I've got a lynx running my property that's gotta go at least 75 pounds. Heck, I printed out a trail cam photo, and just the picture weighed 4 1/2 pounds.

It'd be interesting to know what the average weight is of the northern/midwest bobcats

I don't know that much about bobcat weights, but my experience with cougars is that one specific cat can vary a whole lot in weight depending on when and what they have eaten. I've seen 120 pound cougar with 15 pounds of venison in their stomachs; and I'll bet they can fit a lot more. Cats can really gorge themselves.

Years ago I caught a 36 pound female and I thought that was like the Andre the Giant of the bobcat world.I can't imagine one almost twice that size.Maybe that's what accounts for people saying they're seeing Mountain lion tracks up here.

Beachcomberf13 that is a pretty cat for Pa. Our biggest among my friends is a 46 pounder that was posed on here 10 years ago along side of a 30 p0und beaver and another cat of some weight that I forget. He ran dogs and is a real outdoors man. My biggest was last year of 35 pounds. Most of the local guys have got a 30 pounder since the season opened a dozen years or more ago here in Pa........jk

I have a buddy that targets bigger cats. I think his biggest is 48 with a few more in the lower 40s and upper 30s. He posted them when he caught them but has been busy the last few winters. I will see if I can get some pics

That's some nice cats. But almost truth be told, I caught a 67 pounder last year. I would have had trail cam pics, but the batteries died, there's that. Then when I went to take a pic with my phone the sun was in my eyes and then I got a horrible toe cramp. So, no pics but it did happen. Seriously, awesome pics and great cats!
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
