Have an opportunity to purchase some nicer old traps from an acquaintance of mine. I am by no means a collector, but I do admire old time craftsmanship. I do notice on the 5, one of the bottom nuts is different from the other and was wondering what that does to its value. I want to give an honest amount for the traps, but don't want to pay over for an altered trap either. Other than the 5, which does appear fairly old, all others look original and in good shape, but then again that's why I'm.on here asking the experts. Thanx.

You stated a #3 in your 4TH picture. But it is a later model #2 Newhouse. It will have Oneida Community stamped on the pan.. If the springs are stamped it makes it is much more desirable...
Here is a #1 I sold recently..

TC1, That #5 does have a completely wrong chain and it looks like the jaw post has been re-threaded smaller to accept a wrong nut. Both will hurt value.
Offer your seller $500 for the works and if he dances the jig you know you paid too much...

I truly appreciate every one of you that take your time to give me some guidance. I am clueless about most of this stuff and am thankful for all the responses. This site that Paul has set up for us all, is a treasure trove of information and the amount of knowledge here is beyond compare.

Digger - oops!! Your right. Guess I didn't look close enough at the pan. Just looked at the spring ends and jumped to a conclusion - which was wrong.
