When I skinned and boarded my coyotes this year I skinned to the to of the feet and boarded them. My reason is , I sell a state auction and if I don't get a decent price I plan to have them tanned and I think they look and sell better as wall hangers with the full legs. Will this cause the buyers to pay less than if they were cropped at the knees ? -Thanks

If you ship to the auction there may be a problem when they drum them. Those hind legs could get ripped off or torn.
But selling to local fur buyer shouldn't be an issue.

Wont affect the price at auction leaving the back legs cut at the foot instead of the ankle.I cut all fox and cats for auction at the foot rather than the ankle.I also cut the front legs at the foot instead of the elbow. When left inside after turning they give the pelts a bit more weight for grading, and its not any extra work.
It is acceptable to cut at the ankle and elbow for the fur market.

If Skinning a nice pelt for a wallhanger/private sale I leave the claws and feet on.They sell quicker and higher than the competition that cut them off.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

The length of the leg won't affect the price at your state auction. In fact, the only reason buyers will notice the length is because they will be checking to see if the foot is there.

If you leave the feet on (all 4 feet, not just the rears) there is a chance you will get more forbthem at your state auction because some one might buy them to dress for the craft market.

I skin my coyotes almost to the foot just so I don't have to dick around with the achilles.
