Never noticed this before.
Trapping some ground where a guy had cattle but has moved them out. Of course they've left a lot of "residue" around and something has been tearing those piles apart - even flipping some over. I'm guessing whatever is doing this is looking for earthworms or other such things. (It's been warm here and earthworms still haven't taken a huge dive down deep into the soil)

Any ideas on what might be doing this?

I saw two coyotes out in open grass pasture in wy when I was trapping out there, I stalked them shot one, then went and looked at what they were doing, they were flipping dry pies over and eating small grubs under the cow pies

We don't have cows anywhere close to me but around here, bears turn rocks over everywhere looking for goodies.

Skunks are normally the ones doing it, but possums, coon, and coyote will too. There are grubs inside/under the piles.
