......don't be afraid to get away from the edges

When I do this, no matter the set type I grab a small log or a small rock to grab the yotes attention

It gets them out there the odors do the rest

This is 45-50 yards out in to the hay field, real small dirthole with a small log only about 2" diameter by 18" long laying on the ground as backing. When it's a compass set the log/rock is 3-5 yards away

The remake on this was a compass set as the trap circle was real light. Then I added a dirt hole set 10 yards away

Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!

If they have plenty of food, give them something interesting to smell

Do you put the backing out at the same time or before making the set?

Yea same time. If you do it in advance they may investigate and find no smells and not check it then later when your trap is there

Great set. I love soybean fields, I scrape hulls together and make a u shape. This catches them every time. I am still learning.
