Chris, Yes, they are all stainless, except the setting/safety hooks. Really good traps, for inverted flower pot/ box sets. They don't keep them in stock though, they custom make up your order, and getting ahold of OV is kind of hit and miss. One other thing to realize is being stainless, they are really hard to dye or paint, normal logwood dye will not cover the shine! They have a pretty short chain too. All in all, pretty good traps, they have their pluses and minuses, just like ANY brand of bodygrip. Big thing is, no worry of rust making triggers rough, and NO maintenance required. The triggers are much more sensitive than the Canadian bodygrips, so using strictly trigger wires, they perform better than the Canadian brands. I tend to use pan fired Belisles in my horizontal or angled boxes, and the stainless OV #120's in the inverted sets, with the trigger/ dog off to the side, on the upper jaw, closest to the tree, with an L trigger configuration. No trigger or dog contact on strike that way, and no straddled trigger wires. Need more info, PM me.

Thanks for the info guys. I have a few friends that are using them for the first season and definitely noticed the safety’s aren’t stainless but springs are. OV quoted me $58 for shipping to Sitka for 3 doz so I’m gonna give them a rip. Boco, why don’t you believe they would be strong enough for marten, no complete closure?

You can use them for mink and rats.Too weak for marten. Read the regs. again. Any jaw type trap set as a submersion set that exerts clamping force on a muskrat and maintains a muskrat underwater. I believe that Ontario also moved that all uncertified 120's can not be set for mink if not certified for marten on the ground. mink are not in the list of animals

They failed the aihts. They didn't kill enough marten quick enough to pass.I found less damage on marten also with the stronger traps.Used to see rub holes with the weaker traps when there was a single strike to the neck or under the armpits.

I've wondered the same thing myself. I don't know if there is any such thing as stainless steel springs though; that could be the only weak link I can think of. Yes, you can get stainless springs. Osky
