I'm trying to catch Fox... My area is inundated with coons. Literally inundated. I keep catching coons in the same set over & over every night, they get into my dirt hole set.

What if I do a dirt hole set without bait ?? Only lure.

Would a Fox be interested in an empty hole ??

Just a weekend trapper...

Make a gauntlet around your fox set with DP's to distract the coon.
Seriously - I wouldn't be afraid to put in more than six sets in close proximity. Try a flat set using fox urine only or fox gland lure mixed 50/50 with fox urine

Boar coon love fox gland lure. I would just make more sets and thin out the coons.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

A coon will likely be as if not more interested in an empty hole than a fox. Fresh digging gets their attention !
As others have said , load up the DP’s !

There might have been a lesson in it?

If you can wait for a real cold snap in temps too the coon will hole up but fox will still move.
Otherwise yes any set that will take a fox will likely also take coon. We have a ton of coon here too.
Load area with DPs is a good option.
Pure skunk generally seemed less interesting to coon than canines but not always. Caught one coon this year at a set with no other attractor other than a little smear of hellfire on a weed stem so that shot my theory down I'd used for several seasons up to this point.
Thin the coon is probably your best bet.
Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Well... at least they aren't grinners. You can sell the coons.
