MI has an odd set-up. No check time for kill traps, 24hr check for non-lethal traps in the lower peninsula, and 48hrs check in the UP.

Kill traps (body grips) should also be 4 days. IMO

Oklahoma - Traps must be tended once each 24-hour period.

Arkansas - • Nondrowning sets with foothold traps, snares and box traps must be checked daily. Kill traps must be checked at least every 72 hours.

Yep. I would prefer the language read "each calendar day" just to avoid being cited because I had to stop and change a flat tire.

When I trap in northern Maine which has a 5 day check law for lethal sets. I still find myself checking most traps every day due to the fact that the trap may be out of commission due to an incidental catch. Most commonly a muskrat or beaver in an otter set. If you have a trap in an outstanding location that trap needs to be working!
