I'm looking at getting a go pro to take video of my son trapping, hunting, and fishing for the grandparents. What's a good option for me?

I’ve never had problems with my GoPro. About 5 years old now. Sometimes you need to install updates. Local Best Buy will do that in 15 minutes

I’ve had a GoPro Hero Session for 3 years now. I am very pleased with it. I’ve done a ton of underwater footage, used it hunting, fishing, and trapping in a lot of temperature extremes with 0 issues.

Seems like the issues are always when they are new. Once you get past the first video dump or two, your golden. Its the honeymoon period where all the issues tend to happen.

I have the GoPro Hero 5 black and I like it. Don't buy those cheap knock offs. They are junk and your wasting your money.

Guarantee the knock off cant take the beating the GoPro can. The cheap one looks pretty sweet until it gets water in it and you lose all your footage.

Its what I have used for a while now. In around and under salt water. It will fit into a GoPro housing but having had a look at both, there is not much in it with the housings other then the price. And both the go pro and the cheap version are carved out of a solid billet of pure chinesium. Probably nailed together in the same factory. Like the " original " worm drive Mag 7 Skillsaw and the Bosh version of that saw. Made in the same factory and most parts are interchangeable. But you get folks saying that the Skill saw is way better and others swear by the Bosch ....... 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. So whatever floats yer boat. I for one like good tools as much as the next guy but don't like wasting money either.
