I’m running several for beaver and otter also the smaller ones I use on nuisance jobs. The food hey are super strong. The new owner Nick is a super guy to deal with. They are all made at his shop in the good old USA. The biggest factors that sold me on them was. I tested them in couple different ways seems like in areas where there is a lot of trapping pressure with the RBG’s there was a lot less trap avoidance. Second with the beaver and otter I caught they never moved the trap, the area wasn’t disturbed looked like dispatched instantly. I really feel the circle looks more natural cause if you think about it how many times in nature do you see perfect sqaures or 90 degree angles. This has been my experience at least lol.

I am the owner of the company so my opinion is a little bias but I will add my 2 cents to the conversation. I have heard a lot of pros and cons of these traps and I am going to tell you what I have experienced and how to fix some of these issues.
CONS 1. A pain, hard, tricky to set. I will agree with this statement to a certain degree. There is a learning curve to set these because the springs, dog and trigger can travel around the radius of the trap. If you give it a little time and practice setting you will figure out the best way to set it and overcome this easily. It is tough to explain how I do it but I'm going to try to post some videos of some of my tricks.
2. Trigger sensitivity. On the traps that are built out of 3/16" rod are sensitive, these are built this way because primary use for these is in ADC work trying to catch animals that weigh only ounces and animals that are likely to have been trapped before. It is a very easy fix if you would to make them less sensitive, take a channel locks or bigger type pliers and pinch the trigger tighter to the rod. On some of the traps that were built out of 1/4" rod there has been some issues before I bought the company that stemmed from a batch of triggers that had a wrong angle cut in the notch. This can be fixed the same way as described above or if you would like to send them back I will fix them for you at no charge.
3. How to stabilize. This is probably the most common thing I hear. I have started manufacturing H-stand type stabilizers specifically for them but they will fit some of the standard stabilizers on the market as well. If stabilizing with sticks put them the opposite of the way most people do it with a square one. Most people put them in an upside down V shape, I put them in a regular V shape.
4. Pulls fur out. I have not experienced this problem personally as I think it happens when you try to remove a frozen animal from the trap. I have only heard this complaint twice and both guys were from Alaska.
PROS
1. AMERICAN MADE
2. Kills fast. The natural curvature of the jaws makes the springs fire faster and even with the end result being a faster kill.
3. Stronger Jaws. The tensile strength of the steel that is used by bigger companies is less because of the automated welding process. We hand weld everything so we can use a higher tensile strength rod.
4. Blending/hiding. There isn't many straight lines in nature so the roundness makes it blend better. I also have caught several beaver and otter that have been wised up to the square traps. Also if setting in front of holes it fits better.
I have caught several hundred animals in these traps the last few years and the main reason that I bought the company is because they work so well. I truly believe that these are a great trap and have their place on your line. I would be more than happy to answer anymore questions if you guys have any. Thanks, Nick Erny

I haven't had the chance to use the 440's I bought yet,but I can see where they'd be one awesome beaver and otter trap'

When I was long lining coon My go to trap was the 160 RBG I ha da lot less refusals using the RBG then when I used the square 160s. They just are more natural looking In a trail. They are a pain to set though.
