Wondering if anyone has had much luck keeping skunks from spraying in a 160 belisles versus 220s and do you run wires or treadles thanks

160’s or 220 for me is about 50=50. My 220 are Belisle but my 160 are BMI. I haven’t noticed much difference, but I only get a handful of skunks a year. 220 are usually in a bucket and 160 are set in trails. I’m interested to see if belisle 160’s are different too.

I used 155's this year intentionally for skunks and they did a nice job of whacking them right behind the ears. I caught 11 skunks and only 1 sprayed bad. Not that a 220 can't do the job and put them out before they spray, but I think the smaller the trap (120-160) the better chance you have of putting them out quickly right behind the head where they won't spray as bad.
P.S. my 155's were Dukes. Obviously I think Belisles would work better. Also, I used pans, not wires.
