Snared a yote last week , and one front paw had really long hair/fur on top and between toes and pads, well past the nails. There was a "ring" on the foot where it had been in a trap and let go for whatever reason. The "ring" looked to be a week or so old . Not sure if that had anything to do with the long hairs/fur on that foot, but seemed odd to me. Anyone see this before, just curious . -Thanks

Had a horse that got tangled up with some cable after we got the cable off the hair over the next couple week went on a growth spurt, that leg looked like it should be on a clysdale

I asked a vet about it and he says d it sometimes happens when the blood is restricted and then is released triggering rapid growth, he said it can happen with wounds as well where the regrowth of tissue can go wild and form a turmer like growth that needs to be trimmed off

If it was in a trap only a couple weeks earlier,it probably limped for a week and didn`t keep the hair worn down.If it had a ring the whole way around the foot it could of been in a snare with out a deer stop and chewed out.

Sorry ,"ring" was a poor choice of words, it is front and back and is very much from a steel trap, full pad catch. No sure why it got let go, no sign of foot damage from a pull out.
