My goofy kid and his buddies went out on the lake with the quads ice fishing this morning at like 4am with -15 real temp. I was sitting in the warm kitchen drinking coffee play with his pup at 5am. The boys are fishing in a derby they call the Atomic Derby. Last year there was I think like 1000 people registered to fish? I went out last year and fish a while with them. They have to be in line at like 1pm for weigh in then there is a big party after. I'll probably run up at noon grab the trailer with the quads go stuff it in the kids garage. Then they can go to the after party not have such parking issues with quad trailer.. Anyway if it wasn't right now -11 with the wind chill at -30 I'd take the pup go visit the boys. Instead I'm going to sit here suck coffee reading t-man post. Not even looking forward to picking the trailer up for them clowns and it's just unhook from his truck hook to mine.. But if I was still young as them in my 30s I'd probably be out there too.

Those are some brutal temps. I've only experienced -30 degrees in Oregon and North Dakota. My time outside on those days was limited to 3 or 4 minutes bursts then back inside to warm up.

There hasn't been many cold days this winter yet, any way like that. If really cold I stay busy getting a few carvings done and just tinkering. I would rather have it cold then have rain and warm temps and snow and rain in the winter. I hate bad roads worse then working and being out in the - cold.

None of the windchill Crap....to enhance your coldness. We just want actual mercury readings....we all know it’s bad when the wind picks up....So I sit inside and sip on a Dram of Good Scotch.

I'd stay home where it's warm if I could lol I once stalked a red fox in a -58 wind chill, old formula Even with insulated coverall, two stocking hat face masks, it was brutal coming back to truck into the wind
