I have 1 trap, so frozen to the ground.. I stepped on the pan, & it wouldn't fire. I couldn't even pull the trap.
That's what happens after 2" of rain, and a cold snap...


Just a weekend trapper...

Try bedding your trap in some of Andy Stoe's Cover Hulls and putting your trap inside a plastic bag, it will stay dry and it will fire off when and animal steps on your pan.
