Thank you very much for taking the time to chronicle some of your season, I love this stuff!
About the wolf that made it through that tangle on the drag; Is it possible he took the drag to mouth on first resistance and carried it a ways? Or do you think it was just a coincidence and it didn't hook up?
I don't claim to know a thing about wolves, so if thats a really stupid question I apologize

Got the Scandic all tore apart. Front Pogo suspension was acting funny. I'd hit a stump on the way out and dented the upper tower not allowing the shock and spring to work properly. Be looking for one of these in town today. [Linked Image]

Forgot to mention that I'd lost my starter on the Scandic last week out at the cabin. Luckily it was at the cabin. Used the Rhino to pull her into the shop and replaced it pretty easily in the heated fur shed. I'd bought a couple of them for spares and they came into play. A connection broke free on the positive lead. It felt funny when I checked it the week before looking for the problem that left me stranded. [Linked Image]
This is Wolf #1 that the pack killed in the trap. They tore her up pretty bad. I brought her in to Al at the Tannery for him to fix. That is way above my sewing skill level. He did a great job and she's on the stretcher now. [Linked Image]

Got my new aluminum trapline signs done. Let's see how the porcupines and squirrels like these. Auto Trim Design in Fairbanks made these for me. $53 for 3 didn't seem to bad to me. [Linked Image]
Heading back out on Sunday. Suppose to be unseasonably warm.

Great videos JR the pack sure did a number on that wolf sewing it darn sure would've been a challenge how about a after picture. I hope you find the part you need for your sled.
I've noticed that we normally get the same weather you had up there about 10 days after you had it there .
Stay Safe out there and catch a bunch !
Allan

JR how many miles do you have on that Skandic now ? Im going to need a new sled next year and am considering going back to the 4 strokes. Whats the most common problem you've seen with the 600 ACE ?

Update on the wolf that was brutally attract by a unsavory gang. The surgery was long, just about 2 hours. But i was able to put her back together. She won't have a full recovery. she'll have a few disabilities. She won't be able to be taxidermy, but she could be displayed as a nice wall hanging fur for the rest of time. [Linked Image]
