I am a believer. This is the third wolverine with the NOBS Canine Extreme, for me. All have been whole foot, (both front and back foot), catches, (one front foot, 2 back foot), with zero paw damage, zero chewing.
The usual cubbie demolition, and polished chain and swivels, but absolutely no signs os stress to any of the traps.

What is left of the cubbie.

Animal was in a recent war with something. Neck wound was to the skull, and cheek was a mess.

Sorry for the side-ways pics

Nice job B!
I have not caught yet in my new No BS K9 Exremes. 2 seasons, but only have them in three sets.

I have a handful of them, only catch so far was a fox with both front feet.

Wonder what his dancing partner looked like?

Gonna order some tomorrow and give them a whirl...

Didn't Bushman have a beat up, half-scalped Wolverine like that in his Journal? Your's looks healed compared to his. That would be a wolverine traveling record.

Just plain amazing how resilient they are.

You must be holding your mouth right these days AV.

I suspect those guys tangle with wolves every so often and probably each other. I had one a few years ago with a hole through the top of his skull that also came through the roof of his mouth. I figure a canine of some BIG mouthed critter

Is it possible he/she got caught in a conibear? Wound on top would be from the jaw, and on it's face could be from the trigger? Maybe a trapping neighbor forgot to unhook one spring safety?

Male, and I suppose it could be a trap wound, bit doubt it. Hope to know more after skinning. In the freezer, now.

After further investigation, (thawing now), he definatly tangled with another animal, and nearly lost his life. Trouble maker, for sure, and has the scars to prove it.

Nope. His last.
I may, to my wife's chagrin, have to keep this one, too.
Figure with Moyles turn-around, I have 4-6 months to come up with a solid story.

I already used that one. Have a life-size and a rug. Maybe a wall-hangar?

It is rather nice to read this and realize I have lots of excuses and reasons and haven't really used any of them in Alaska yet grin

It's a different story down in MN.
