I see a lot of you folks pointing and braying about gateway drugs , well I've got a huge news flash for You - the gateway drug is - SUGAR - think about it !

The tax money that is realized will pay for the pot agency's building and employees so the revenue will not help. Course they'll have to set aside millions to help the legal drug abusers.

my thoughts are this> Smoke it you want, I tried it when i was in school. no big thing and dosent interest me one bit really since then.

My concern is this and at least in Ohio since we now have it is the following> you get the card you loose your weapons and anyone else in the dwelling you reside it. you are told this when you get the card.The federal government still considers it a felony and illegal.
Now i I ever heard of a gun grab and the sheepeople just grazing towards socialism is mid blowing.
Just for a stupid high willing to forgo your second amendment right is Crazy.

Legalize the dang stuff already.

Stop into most redneck bars and you will see that many of the patrons only need a little alcohol to turn into a--holes.
A couple friends who are state cops tell me they'd much rather deal with a stoner than a drunk.

After living in the legalize mary Jane experiment in Canada now for a while, I can tell you that the fact it is legal now has been totally inconsequential.

The town I live in has always been huge for pot smoking. It still is. I still don't, and people who don't want to smoke it still don't smoke it either. The law mattered little here. It has free up the courts and police from busting those dangerous pot smokers!!

Pot affects the brain in far different ways than alcohol. The fact that alcohol is legal and pot wasn't always killed me. I have worked on crews where guys have smoked on breaks, and walked elevated beams, worked in rafters, and used all manner of power equipment with zero issues. Those same people would never drink on the job because they would lose life or limb really fast. Plus no one ever gets high on pot and beats up their wife, crashes a car, or passes out and dies choking on their own vomit...no, that's all thanks to alcohol...legal alcohol.

Long term use (like twenty years) has a habit of making people very moody and cranky at times. It also isn't particularly motivating. Tough to tell though if pot makes people lazy, or if lazy people do pot. I defy anyone to tell me they know for a fact it is cause and effect

I don't smoke, and never will, and like has been said I don't hold people who smoke a lot it particularly high regard. I don't drink either, and never will despite it being legal. Who cares. You don't like pot? Don't smoke it. You don't like guns? Don't buy one...same theory. The last thing I want is my government using my tax dollars to prosecute people for something so unimportant when there are important issues going by the wayside.

I would also think that in a country where fetal humans are being slaughtered among other issues, legal marijuana wouldn't even be on anyone's radar.

I've found over the years that the people who argue the most against pot, have the least experience with it, so i don't bother.

It's like argueing trapping with someone who never saw a trap.

I am not saying this is a plot to have a docile, stoned ,unarmed, electorate.

but I am saying that if there was a conspiracy to have a docile , stoned , unarmed electorate I couldn't tell the difference between this and that conspiracy.

I will say that anything that prohibits a person from being armed should also prohibit them from voting.

I think a lot of people on here are smoking it. Yeah let's make it easier for kids to get it, that will improve the quality of the next generation.
