Removed a weasel from a store today in a small live trap. Strange thing is it was / is still brown. Lady of the store saw it running around her store and asked me what it was. And when she described it I thought Weasel right off the bat. But when she said it was brown it kinda threw me. So tell me don't weasels turn white in the winter? As she talked about it, all the sudden she said there it is!!! So I watched him hunt their store for about 15 minutes before I came home to retrieve my live trap. Put some bacon fat in the back and covered it with a cardboard box with holes at each end. Didn't take long So now I know bacon works on weasels too. Any comments one why this one is still brown?

JD, funny thing is, the next Weasel you catch may be White. Varies here in Pa.

Or pinto here in MN they are almost always white in winter but I have seen them both brown and pinto even with in dec and January in the city’s
