I have some regular jawed MB550 traps that I would like to swap out the jaws to offset. Will there be any special modifications I will need to make or can I just replace the jaws and go?

I think you will be okay without any changes. I traded for a trap that apparently was run over by a tractor or something and the jaws were bent. I was surprised they were bent and didn't break. I can tell you it is a pain in the *** to take them apart and put back together or at least it was for me. You may want to sale them and buy offset or see if you can find someone to trade with.

They will swap and it isn't difficult.

I guess I just made it difficult on the one I worked on. I felt like I needed four hands to hold and get it back together.

Thanks for the help. I thought I seen a video on replacing jaws that didn't look all that difficult. I just was more concerned about the pan and jaws laying flat.

Removing and replacing the spring pins canbe a pain but I don't think you will need to do that when only changing jaws. Now a crushed trap, you will.It won't help with the spring pins but I found that cutting the crushed jaws in half, greatly helps in dismantling the trap.
