I have never seen them before but the one review says they have less power than a Victor rat trap.

I've used them for fifty years and still have about 400 and use them heavily. They are designed for small mammal trapping and are somewhat weak in comparison to a Victor Rat trap. They are designed that way to reduce the incidence of smashing skulls. As the name implies, they are for museum specimen acquisition. Not for fur trapping. They are intermediate in size between standard hardware store Victor mouse traps and Victor rat traps. While I've caught several least weasels over the years in the museum specials, I've never held a short-tailed or long-tailed in one. They are barely marginal for use on chipmunks.

I have three older museum traps...I think all three are made by ATC. Two of them have a pointed end where the bait holder is vs. perfectly rectangle on both ends......
