My two favorite parts of trapping are seeing a critter when I pull up to a set and skinning the critter. After two days in the shop the lynx was mostly thawed, just a little ice between the front legs. The hide was nice and white. smile

This was a big tom. I really enjoy working on lynx. The feet are fun. As are the ears and lips.

Normally when I'm skinning, Gregg is fleshing and boarding. So I got to practice last night. I'm still terrible at it.

I also helped a buddy out and skinned two of his cats. They were really small compared to the tom! eek

North of 50 - Thank you for the other tip/lesson! I'll definitely try that the next time I go out. laugh The mink we catch don't get sent out because I LOVE them for sewing. I hoard them all and my trapping partner lets me.

Boco - Thank you! Hahaha! There's definitely lots of hand washing between those activities. I finally have a day off tomorrow and my plan is to make some cinnamon rolls!

What do you sew with the mink pelts? Pictures would be nice if you have them. I have a few mink pelts on hand but cannot decide what to make with them.

I like making little bears out of them. And I think I want to try making a headband out of mink!

And a million dollar smile.

Sissy those little bears are really sharp. If ever a price comes for one I know someone who would love one. PM me if ever.

080808 - Lol, if that's the only reason you'd eat them, then I'd share with someone else!

Golf ball - I did frost all of them eventually. They just had to cool down. smile

bfisch - Thank you, I've made quite a few of them. They're good sellers. I started making them because I had so many scraps to use after bigger projects.

PAlltheway - I do like my red nails. They're kind of a bit of work with my hobbies, but I think they're worth it.

osky - Thank you -> smile I do sell my bears. They range in price from 65 to 120 depending on the type of fur and size of bear.

smalltimetrapper - Why don't you like feet?
