Every season I try to use a new coyote bait to my arsenal. I generally use two different baits each season and my go to bait is Kick A$$ predator bait, which I have used for two seasons now. My thoughts are maybe trying John Graham’s Double Cross or Craig O’Gorman’s powder river paste bait. I do use Graham’s lures, but I have never used his baits. As for O’Gorman’s, I have yet to try his stuff. Just wondering if anyone has any experience using these two baits? I also noticed the powder river is quite pricey. Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you.

i bought 1 gallon of powder river paste bait from O gorman a couple of years back. It worked well on coyotes. 88 dollars a gallon and about 19 dollars shipping to alabama i think. So about 144 oz = at 1 OZ a dirt hole comes out to bout 70 cents a dirt hole the way I saw it on my coyote trapping jobs. It held up well in wet .weather. Came off plastic spoon well. Coyotes responed well to it. Price was only down side for me

If you consider John's Grab and Pull I have commented on here before that it seems to work very well on a bait stick. I would expect it to work in a pipe set also. Wayne Derricks 1080 also worked in a pipe set.

Thanks for the replies guys. I too use John Graham’s Grab and Pull food lure 3togo. I have used it for a couple years now and used at t-bone sets and had good success. But when it comes to those grab sticks with felt, I have had no luck with those. I will have to look into Wayne Derricks bait and lures.

Check out Dakota Prairie Baits, I’ve had good luck with his bait this past season. I know of several others who smoked a bunch of dogs on it as well this past season.

I didn’t use any Graham’s baits this season, I try to run a rotation of baits, mainly to experiment, and next year they will make a return run on my line. I did very well with double cross a few years back.

After doing some research and talking to some knowledgeable people, I'm going with Keg Creek baits and lures this year. Marty seems to be a stand-up guy. After being fooled by Andy, I have realized there are more shysters out there. I will be very picky about who I'm going to give my hard earned dollars to from now on. Just never figured a guy would have to worry about getting ripped off by a fellow trapper.

You won’t go wrong dealing with Marty. I buy the majority of my lures and baits from him at conventions. His stuff is good and he is always gives me some helpful advice. 50% of my lures I use are Keg Creek and the other half are John Graham’s. The last two seasons I have used Marty’s Kick A$$ predator bait and plan on using it in the future. These two guys are top notch in my book.

Another vote for Marty Smith. I’ve never had holes worked like I did this year with Marty’s bait.
I’m gonna throw in another vote for Ed Schneider too. I’ve been using his lures exclusively this season and getting some good responses in some of the toughest trapping conditions I’ve ever trapped in.

I bought some bait from Cletis Richards that caught coyotes, but it caught bobcats too, so that might be something you don't want. He calls his stuff Apple Road Predator Bait.
