I saw a post a while back that had an "A" type homemade steel boom that a boat winch attached to for dragging and lifting logs or snow machines into truck or trailer . I think a few more folks added pics of their own versions. I thought it was on the Wilderness page. Cant remember what the apparatus was called or who posted it but I'm thinking of building one for a trailer of mine. Any info on this would be appreciated.

Could be mistaken, but might have been the thread where the guy was building a cabin, felling trees, milling them, etc.

Yeah I think AV is right. It was a log arch. It may have been on Hover-Lover's thread about his building but that might not be right either.

That's the one. Wonder how he's doing. He came up here last summer to fly choppers for an outfit I contract with. Nice guy. He even caught some salmon!

Yes. He was doing glacier landings. He got to see some great stuff, and wild weather. Hope he sees this, and chimes in.
