New to trapping got in my Bridger #3 dogged yesterday. I need help with adjusting the jaws so they lay flat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the 4 coiling flick and that will show you how to twist the spring levers so the loose jaw will lay flat.

I did just that and figured it out. There was more bending involved than I thought but it worked fine

I set trap, hold it with left hand, put my thumb under the pan, then squeeze the spring lever down with 10" pliers til it lays flat

Don't dry snap them after adjustment otherwise you will be right back where you started. I keep a big old screwdriver in my trapper bag to fix this out in the field if need be.

That's a good idea. I actually called MB today and asked about it. They were very nice and emailed me pictures of how they do it. They said it is the result of the 4 coil. I bought them that way. As a side note I did notice in the photos that the springs and supports were bent downward on the loose jaw side. I tried it on one I'll try to let folks know how it does.
