CHICAGO — Chicago police say “the trajectory of the investigation” into the reported attack on Jussie Smollett has shifted and they want to conduct another interview with the “Empire” actor.

On Saturday, Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi issued a statement saying: "We can confirm that the information received from the individuals questioned by police earlier in the Empire case has in fact shifted the trajectory of the investigation. We've reached out to the Empire cast member's attorney to request a follow-up interview."

The story really never made sense especially if you ever spent any time in the windy city. The area he alleges he was attacked in is a very high class neighborhood full of people, shops, high rises and restaurants. That would be the last place someone would orchestrate such an attack.The other details just seem like they came from some B movie.

The morning the news reported his claim the first time, I told my wife this was all a load of crap and they'd find it was either a complete lie or he had friends help him.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson in his talk to the media slammed Smollett on how he tied up his resources and the negative consequences of this hoax. The Superintendent also made a remark the media needs to get the facts right before they report a story and he hopes the truth gets the same amount of attention as the hoax.
