Pilgrim22 OP trapper P Joined: Mar 2013 Pennsylvania	I’d like to see pics of some of the better eastern coyotes that you guys catch. I figure most of eastern Canada gets the better half of the top lot coyotes. I wanted to see what the ones from the states look like. I had a few coyotes in the bottom of my freezer that I pulled out and out of the last 7 years their my best to date. The one on the left is just for comparison as a typical coyote. The 3 on the right are my best ones. Adam Matalavage

Of course I missed my chance and it was shot during deer season. I wanted to have a nice mountainman hat made. You can't cheat the mountain pilgrim. Mountain's got its own ways.

trapperbless trapper Joined: Jan 2011 IN	These are the 2 best coyotes I've ever caught, both last season.The top one doesn't look to special in the picture but it was the softest silk like fur I've ever felt. He brought around $85 if I remember right. The bottom coyote wasn't too far under top lot last May and brought $102. As much as I hate trapping in the snow, I'd take it if I could consistently catch coyotes like this in my areas.

That year my average was around $40, with about a dozen shipped....even the junk brought $30. In other years I've had yotes that I thought looked nice, that only brought $10 or so.
