I like the Bridger #4 long springs I use, good for coyotes and bobcats. Mine are outside laminated, big pan (outlet box cover), and extra swivels in the chain. I replace all the factory j hooks also.

I really only use them for cats anymore, it's just quicker to bed coil springs when coyote trapping. However, setting traps during freeze / thaw conditions, I will use the long springs for coyote trapping. It does take longer to dig a bed for them, but they don't freeze down as easy.

Well I’m not very happy with them. Bought a dozen and a half new, and let me tell you they need a pile of work. Every one of them needs grinding and filing, most are impossible to set and if you do the springs don’t go up all the way when fired. And that to top it off, one came with a jaw backwards.

I bought one #5 DLS and it seems fine with no issues. I was not happy with some Bridger 150's I bought. Needed work on triggers and the jaws bound up. I donated them to a trapper BBQ Chinese auction.

I have about 2 dozen Bridger #4's. They work good for me. All I did was some filing on the trigger system and extend the chains.
I use them for Lynx and have caught Wolverine in them. Most of my no. 4 .long spring traps are Victors, the Bridgers are just as good or better than the Vics. IMO.

I really like my #3 Sleepy Creek longsprings. I wish they hadn't gone out of business. Their 4 1/2 longsprings were always on my list...if I ever won the lottery.

Here’s a cool vid of a guy installing Dogless pit pans and sprucing up V #3DLS. Sorry for the FB link, it’s the only place I saw it…
