Lets say you go on a trek. During said trek through the wild you have a trap with you. Your out one night and then you leave. Before that however you happento set the trap right your camp sight. Your scent is every where yes but with out leaving trash it any thing you might think something would take advantage and check out the fire ring for morsels. Then they smell your set. A scent on the ground.

Just a bored wild thought. What say you?

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

Not sure if it would work or not, I've never checked back in a campsite after I've left. That being said, I would think that coyotes at least would come and check out old campsites for goodies. I know that we often dispose of left over food in the campfire when we leave and not all of it burns up... I think it would be worth trying as long as the law reads that its ok. Being in Wyoming we cannot have exposed bait.

It's a trappers life for me

No law against it here as long as I can get back within the time limit

Yep - animals will investigate your campsite - especially coons and grinners!
Coon stole a bar of soap from my site - found it about 10yds down the trail with teeth marks all over it when I returned 3 days later.

Shawnee National Forest - We live out here because we're not all there.
