I found a bank den and a frost cone last weekend but I walked almost 100 yards up the bank and couldn't find the entrance to the den. The one hut doesn't look active and then I found the upper pond has activity also. I would've liked to scout before ice and snow but when you get the call in Feb to trap them that's hard. I'm using baited 330's and 330's set at dam crossings. The baited sets are in deeper water and still no luck.

Here's a spot at the dam where the beaver were taking out. Very little evidence the beaver were there other than that. They laid in a very sparse feed pile that was barely visible once the snow was on. I took three out of this pond.

Snowshoed a half mile to a pond I've been intending on hitting all winter and just now got around to. Easy three feet of snow on the ground. Put in one 330 set and a MB 750 on poles. I'll let them set for a week or so depending on the weather. Good to see a cat track not far from where I took one earlier in the season.
