When or how do we see how we did? I’d like to see if I’m buying Natty Light or real beer.

Dang, sold 37 outta 54. Had 5 in the top three lots. Average $50. So that tells me there were some low ones. Check to see what your individual lots sold for. Your clearances were the similar to mine. My top lots sold well (highest was $155), everything in the middle was bought back, and the very bottom end sold (slight damaged and II and III) in the $24-$30 range. It's that bottom end that brought your average down.

Was considering skipping marten in 2019/20. Easy decision now. Really? What makes you so sure prices won't be better, even a little better, next year? mt

Buy backs are a joke. Show me one example where private treaty went for more than the opening price.

I have marten carried over from last year with FHA that were graded xxxl 1, and were offered at $ 80.00, or so, then through some convoluted mess, were withdrawn, re-offered with no bid, and now grade xxl 1-2. Nice, huh?

I should add that that lot finally gaveled down last year at $108.00. No offers on the "re-offer".

I’m not sure if the marten will go up or down, never referenced that. I have other ways to sell fur and can focus on that giving the marten a break. Beavers/otter/wolves are tourist favorites. Three wolves = 60 marten in terms of $. Was considering skipping marten in 2019/20. Easy decision now. Really? What makes you so sure prices won't be better, even a little better, next year? mt
