Usually I'm bummed out when coyote season ends. Not this year, certainly did not get tired of skinning them, just an awful season for me. Humbling too. I caught more my first season than I did this season

Will likely have to buy some pelts to get enough to make sending them to the tannery worth it

Hope everyone else had a better season

Trapping is fun, but some people do not know how to trap.

My feet and back are glad it's over, but my mind and soul are not. Got a late start into difficult sport but learned a lot

Im ok with a break for now. No traps set now but hopefully some spring beaver coming up soon. The break was just in time to teach another trappers education class and catch up on some stuff I had been putting off all winter.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine!

I hate that its over every year about this time.
I have to read and watch videos to keep my want fed.

Tinker with traps, add to the shed and just get ready for next year.

Make a bunch more stretchers.

You just put a curse on yourself and you're going to have your worst season ever next year I bet

Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

Same here. Tough conditions and no coyotes. Lice, mange and then probably parvo. Or maybe I just caught them all last year. UNCLE

gotta be one in every crowd.

have talked to a dozen or more top eastern yote trappers and don't think there was a half dozen pups caught between the bunch.

Glad for the break. Time is nearing to hunt turkey and many want thier calls asap.

Michigan trappin- wish you were closer. Plenty of yotes to skin.

pcr2- I believe I caught more than 6 pups this year. Population seems to be growing every year.
