Nothing against your trap ohio but I feel the older ones are still all around a much stronger metal. But I plan to buy a few dozen of your new dogless traps. I like the fact that you left them plain so they can be moded to suit the individual owner. And the price leaves room to be creative!

Red, you didn't step on anyone's toes. Thanks for posting your mods. Lot of work, but sometimes that's what it takes to get what you want.

Have you messed around with the #2 or #3 Bridger, 4 coil, dogless, outside lams? They are really nice traps, and easy to tinker with.

The #3's are a beast of a trap. Knowing how you like a big trap, I bet you'd like them.

Al ,
I like wire screen I have used so long that I gotten to where I would have learn all over again lol.

So no I tried them a bit on those ,,,the pan is even with top of jaw.
I although have thought I might try to make it like kb or the popular k9 extremes, or a Jake and move the engagement of the pan to bottom of jaw when set so the pan is below top of jaw.
I like that way and ran that way on a Monty dogless traps from the beginning.
Screen does not have bubble,,foot is inside trap before it fires.

That's my next project. I like the idea of the pan engagement inside and below the jaw. Buy some extra pans, and jaws, and weld up a dozen or 2 of my Bridgers like that.

I'm also going to start tuning the dogless pans on my mill, instead of filing.

pictures john! My books require lots of pictures. Lol im not a mart man! Al let me know when you want some lams I will press you out a few dozen. I like the idea of the dog attaching on the bottom side of the jaw. Be a easy fix while on the welding table.
