Lets see some end of the season pictures. This is my youngest daughter and her husbands haul from their new line. This was their first season out there, they flew in on Oct. 16th and just flew out a couple weeks ago.

Neat you can count the large snow dumps, must be some good insulation in those rafters.
Good looking dark wolf in the centre.

Oh, to be young again! That is what I would do!

No regrets. I still can. Just not with the wifey :-)

I don't have a season end pic to offer. Just got a few "singles" here. Maybe next season tho...

Very cool must have been quit the experience, must have some neat stories. So just curious if your allowed to
say how much dollar wise worth of fur did they come out with. Hard to see how many marten there. I realize its
about the life and experiences.

Wont know what kind of money was made until after the auctions, but they did OK. Over 200 marten and the big fur has already been sold and that alone paid the flying bill.

Great picture. Thanks. Curious about flying in on October 16- do they have an airstrip? For me that is the in between time floats/skis.

Ha ha, not hard to tell who's used to remote lines and flying. They say the walls have ears, so I wont say anything except that I did see a video of the landing and then the takeoff a bit later. It was interesting thats for sure.

tucker no I dont have any more of their pictures. My daughter did start a FB page a couple years back called 21st century trapper. She has lots of pictures there.

Looks like a good catch, and the best part will certainly be the good memories! Nice work!

So some changes to the flight in will be in order next fall? I"m interested too. Can you tell us if they have a lake? A gravel bar? I checked out the facebook page. Nice pics and good times.
I'm hoping for a similar scenario in a couple years. Minus any excitement getting in!

Mike, their cabin is on a small lake. Like 3 Fingers noticed mid October is getting pretty late for floats. We had a real cold fall last year as well. I was guiding out of a small lake just north of them and it was starting to freeze by the end of September so I knew they were going to have trouble. Of course if they dont get in on floats they are hooped until things freeze up enough for skis. That would ruin a guys season. In true bush pilot fashion the young lady doing the flying found enough open water to get in, but it was close. I saw the video of the takeoff and getting that beaver out looked like it took some serious skills. Next year they decided to skip all that excitement and go in earlier. Hope your plans come to fruition Mike, nothing like spending most of the season out in the bush.

Nice picture. I sell fur as needed so I’ve never really taken a year end picture. I bet they had some good adventures and have some good new stories to tell. I can’t believe we’re already heading into spring!
