Minnesota has a fall-winter ‘rat season. The Dakotas have a spring ‘rat season. For those of you who trap in states that have both seasons or where you state hop, do you see better prices out of spring ‘rats or is it all based on size?

Spring rats are going to be at their peak when It comes to size. But those spring rats are starting to go down hill as to fur quality.
I have trapped rats In ND and even Into the middle of April those rats were of good quality. In my opinion you start getting bit up rats before the fur quality starts going down hill. One year we trapped In to May but the rat market was very strong that year.
It's kind of funny how The market drives primness.

Thanks.
