Thinking about adding some more long springs to the arsenal for spring beaver. I currently have Bridger set up with pit pans. Price wise there isn't much difference between the two once I add the pans to the Bridgers .
Guess my question is how strong are the springs on the dukes ? Bridgers I set on my knee. If the dukes have heman springs on the 5 like their 330s I'll stay with the Bridgers.

Dukes=stout, center swivel, posi-pan
Bridger=stout, swivel off spring, regular pan

For the minor differences i use bridger cuz of price($24 vs $30). No big deal to center swivel a bridger. When the pan goes bad(some of mine are still good after 4-5 yrs use), then i add posi-pan.

Duke springs are slightly more stout than bridger

They're both good traps, imho

My thinking is the price difference is about the price of the pit pans. Don't care for the standard Bridger pan. The pits are nice because you can set the trap and leave the pan up.

Dukes are also a little bit bigger (I think they're 7.5 inside, most everyone else runs 7.25).
