Well it finally arrived! My proceeds from the last FHA auction that was held 5 weeks ago, with poor clearances and poor prices. Yep, that one. The same one that waits 2 or more weeks to print a check, then claim to be trucking the checks bound for the U.S. across the boarder to save 40 cents. Give me a break. It then requires ANOTHER 2 weeks to find it's way here. I have a better idea: Instead of popping me $5.00 for a stupid magazine I didn't order, you just give my check to Amazon, since they can find my house in 2 days! So can Tim Caven!!!!

Maybe I missed it, but how did marten do at the FH sale compared with NAFA. I assume prices were similar??, but how about clearances? I think until the Russian Sable glut is cleared that North American Sables will continue to be an issue for producers. 250,000 wild Russian Sables at the last Sojuzpushnina sale in St. Petersburg speaks volumes, lack luster clearances even more.

If you can't afford to wait 2 years to get your check for a hobby , maybe you need to look at getting a new hobby.

Dirt. Money makes money. It’s not necessarily “afford” but using the money for supplies or some other investments. If you would not have spent the money to trap in December, you would have your money that you spent trapping instead of waiting to get back some of it in April.

Dirt . Maybe we are talking apples and pecans...... But you spend $50 for gas in Dec. You sell $500 worth of fur ASAP and have cash in your hand. You then spend $450 for a chainsaw and $50 for gas and bar oil. At the end of trapping season you cut, sell firewood for cash. No Taxes! Just sayin. hobbynoun [ C ] UK /ˈhɒbi/ US plural hobbies an activity that someone does for pleasure when they are not working: workverb US /wɜrk/ work verb (DO A JOB) [ I/T ] to do a job, esp. a job you do to earn money:

I won't tell you what it costs me to pay my boat registration, launch ramp fees, 50 miles or so round trip to my launch, then get in the skiff and head to the line. Truck gas, boat gas, wrecked props, etc. Haven't touched on break downs, trailer registration, traps, lure, etc., ad-nauseum. I pay for it all before and during the season. So, yeah, I would like to get paid for my fur as quickly as possible.
