Picked up a couple of these. No pitting and pan is readable. Any value or just good users?

Could go either way, in my opinion. There are some trappers out there that still use them. Last time I checked, $35.00 or so was the going price for ones with good strong springs. Not sure if the collector market is willing to go higher.

Seems like I've been seeing them for $40-$45 lately.Wished they weren't because I have a couple of them I picked up from somewhere years ago and love them for beaver. Not sure why they're that expensive,I can pick up a user No.4 Newhouse cheaper than that.

I bought some a few years ago at a state convention...(after looking for 2 years) $30 ea. good strong users that know their job. I have seen some sold cheaper but they were well wore and beat up. Today's market i'm not sure of but you don't see many for sale.

Guys, watch the pan post attachment on the bottom of the 44s...they all need a bead of weld to secure them.

I sold mine to a friend when we moved, he still uses them they've caught a pile of beaver. I changed out the pans to paws-e-trip, I don't know the price now but the first ones I paid 7$ for and the last ones were 20$ sold them for 15$ I think. Now I use a snare instead of a foot trap
