Whats the reason for using snares for mink? There are better methods than snares to take mustelids.

Thick, mushy, open grassy humps that a 110 cant be stabilized in. 90% of my mink trapping is 110's, but i have certain spots that snares work well in. On top of that, curious if anyone has run dispatch snares for mink

Mink wont pull hard enough to make a dispatch spring work. They dont even pull hard enough to make a cable burn on the leather. roger that

Theft is also a good reason to use snares, especially around road culverts and bridges.
