Does anybody have this squirrel trap? I'm wondering how to secure the nose cones it comes with to the trap. It doesnt come with any clips or anything.

You need to ring or wire them to the trap. Then cut them if not needed on the next job. Any hand ring tool will work for that application.

We just insert the trap into the excluder, and use a plastic zip tie to hold it there. Run the zip tie through the excluder and the trap, it will hold fine and is in a location the captured squirrel can't chew it when inside the trap. When you catch one, snip the zip tie and insert another cage and your done. It works for us. If out of zip ties we use a short piece of trap wire .

I've used zips in the past but found them chewed on from squirrels that were trying to gain entry. I like to use ring pliers especially when playing on a ladder 24 + ft in the air if not already prefabbed on the ground. Typically do all my cutting in when I'm up there and will tie it in all at once. Cage to cage-hardware cloth I use spring loaded ringers, hardware to hardware cloth I use straights. It's a must have tool in this trade. jmo

That is a handy looking tool right there, and going on my WCS must have list if Allen carries it....Thank you for the tip.
