I put them on before I dye traps every year. Take shine away but unimportant when they are buried

I do not worry about the shine of the tags I just put them on before dye and wax or dip them or do not worry about it at all and just put them on .

Throw them all in a metal coffee can, and heat them red hot with a torch. They will be tarnished when they cool down: I have to give Bill Hunt from NY credit for showing us this one year at Minktoberfest. This what dad taught me to do also.

I just wrap one around a link in the chain . OR a swivel. Thieves don't often find them wrapped up tight as opposed to hanging loose.
