For a short while in late '81 and early '82 my Bride and I lived a short distance from that spot. We rented an "apartment" in the old converted motel located on the very west edge of town, just past the Maverick Station on the road to Rigby.

Can't tell ya what or where my first fish was caught, but could lead you to the very spot I caught my first coyote, and that was sixty years ago, last fall! I remember the important stuff! lol grin

My first fish caught was a Pumpkinseed Sunfish. A pretty big one. I was fishing with my step Grandfather and messed up the cast. It landed about three feet out and this big pumpkinseed came up and grabbed it. I haven't thought of that in years. I had to be 6-8 probably.
