The US Post Office charges much lower rates for the Chinese to use them then they do us, often at a loss

https://thefederalist.com/2018/08/31/wont-believe-much-china-cheats-u-s-post-office-shipping-costs/

The Chinese likely bribed the right US officials and American got screwed.

I think Trump will win the next election,but-If Trump is Impeached by the trumped up charges by the dems do you think there will be a civil war,or will the sheep just sit back and let it happen?

For a president to be removed from office it takes 67 senators to approve it. Pelosi might have the votes in the house but not the senate. I doubt there are enough votes in congress. Not even bill Clinton got removed. The senate votes were just not there.

Impeachment talk should be stopped, even many of the dems know that. But the zealots in their party are just as blind as the most base of trump's base.

If markets are down at election time, trump will lose. He didn't get the popular vote last time, and if a couple states go back to the dems, he want get the electoral votes he needs to beat the majority of the voters as he did in his first run.

I'm in the camp that believes China is waiting for Trump to lose the next election. If he does, any of the dems running will proceed to give our wealth away again.

Not civil war boco, revolution is on it's way. This country would be better off if these politicians bent on ruining the country for political gain were removed from office. They care nothing about us, only about maintaining their control over us, like kings and queens.

With Trump having been a great promoter throughout the years I'm surprised he hasn't done more to get the American pepper behind the trade war. Get Americans to boycott. Start producing some WWII-esque propaganda posters about buying american, leave sleazy sino products on the shelf.

A revolution against the might of the American military? Do you think we will be a freer nation when the dust settles? Come on, man.
What would you think if the majority of voters wanted to revolt just because their votes counted for less than others simply because of their address?

The biggest threat to us right now is the divisiveness that party leaders and special interest groups are cultivating in the country. Far too many American identify as a member of some group before they think of themselves as Americans.

You need a community organizer to organize a boycott Pike. That was the last president, the one who thought you needed a majic wand to get our GDP past 1 percent

Or just a leader.....stay on point here hippie. Sorry one Kenyan broke your spirit but there are many men and women that are still strong and have long put him in the rearview mirror.

Back to my thought.....a government backed media campaign to buy American and pass on sino-merch.

Why go through all that when they can just slap equal tariffs on their goods?

Much of the manufacturing is moving to other countries. The tariffs are speeding things up, though.
Are we any better off if the cheap goods we demand are made in China, Vietnam, India.........? Just like the generational welfare families, we have become conditioned to expect cheap, clothing and disposable consumer products. Americans like shopping for, and buying, cheap goods more than they like paying for well made products that are built to last.

It's not a revolution against the military coming, it's against individuals.

The Chinese are out to be number one country in the world, economically and militarily. They know what they must do to surpass us, and they have been doing what's necessary to achieve their goals. We have by our own government's policies, been aiding them in the furtherance of their ultimate goal.

When LEE jeans moved their plant from Ottawa KS to Mexico, the price of jeans to consumers never came down. That cheap crap being produced in China can be produced here and sold for the same price and at a profit. Just not as big a profit. Shipping costs are not insubstantial. The biggest increase in cost to U. S. manufacturers are EPA and OSHA regulations that third world country manufactures don't have to deal with.

They're annoying and sometimes cumbersome but I feel that OSHA and to a lesser degree EPA standards have done more good than bad. Maybe tarrIfs should be raised coons offset any cost saving from shipping production out of the US?

The shipping cost is a great point.

This^^^^^^^^. The epa and osha are. a large part of any manufacturing job leaving for many years. This country has it's head so far up it's backside, that no business can be conducted as normal, back when we were truely free. All in the name of enviromentalism. The whack jobs on the east and west coasts can think of nothing but saving everything, as what cost? There has always been a balance, and it is that way with everything, but that has been skewed by idiots, and we let it happen. Liberal thinking, 101. And there are plenty on here that think that way!

While I agree that we should buy American and support local business, even if it costs a bit more, the avg American is so stupid, self centered, and short sighted, it will never happen on a large scale basis. Walmart isnt going anywhere.

Agreed, we are a greedy people who mostly only promote our own individual self interest.
