I've been dealing with Jetech out of Anchorage and am looking at picking up a couple of these boats. I've watched about 20 Russian videos of them running rivers and looks like they've got something here. Anyone on here have any experience with these new inflatable boats?

I had a 50 4 stroke Yamaha with a jet foot. It was great but I had it on a regular 16' LUND and the scoop had to be mounted flush with the bottom of the boat. So it would really pound on rocks. the grizzly bars on the bottom would really take a pounding. made holes in a couple boats and my boy eventually just bought a prop foot and sold the jet. Think about getting another one with a boat designed for a jet. get way up into berry country. The worse thing about them is that they are so slow in deep water.

A couple guys around here got their hands on a couple of these and they have done some impressive trips. Winched it up a waterfall and got into mountain headwater lakes and stuff like that.

Here's the info I'm getting from dealer:

All 470/500 series boats will have double transom braces and SS plates and bolts. A picture is attached below. They will also have top tubes, polyurethane bottom protection, PVC material storage bags, heavier duty oars, and an air pump/repair kit. Final pricing will be a little under $7k US.

Gundy, I'm serious about buying one.

I Just saw a video today of a local guy going over a 16' waterfall sideways in one of these, by accident. The boat rode it out, then dropped over an additional 12' drop. All you could hear was the guy saying "oh sh*^, oh sh*^, then he drops out of the video. Both he and the boat survived and he drove it home.

There is a company in Alaska that makes a similar boat, but they are pricey. I currently run two jet drives but am actually looking at alternatives. Nothing is harder on spawning grounds, especially arctic grayling. There are rivers in BC that used to be home to some of the best grayling fishing on the planet until just a few short years ago. Jet boat traffic wiped them out. Boats like these will just make it worse Im afraid.

I have a jet ranger, the first type of jet raft, it rocks. My buddy here just got the jetech and loves it, I haven't ridden in it yet to know the difference between the two, but he says best purchase he has ever made.

Where are you seeing it at $7,000 +/- ? On their website it lists the 500 model at 135,700/RUB which equals $2,122/USD. I expect shipping out of Russia to the US would be expensive but I can't imagine it being 5k even with air freight.

There is a guy in Juneau who is a dealer for jetech. He gets out alot and has put them thru the paces. He posts alot on FB of his adventures. Troy Sharp is his name...they look like alot of fun, and are tough boats.

wildflights.

They are pricey. The mods jack it up. What you are seeing is base price....which he will not sell you i have a breakdown on the costs. I am also looking at buying one most likely next spring.

Someone asked material. They are pvc. The bottom is lined... but i forget what it is off hand

My only comment on pvc is once it freezes.....dont touch it. I have had pvc boats break like glass. Means late season hunts/fishing can be interesting lol.

Did you buy one? I'm thinking of the 420 to transport in our Cessna 180.
