Shot in the dark here, but would I see a tension difference between a 4 coiled Jr and a 2 coiled full size?

Thanks.

I understand your question, I have both traps but, i filed my plans on the Jr's so the tension is about 3#. My question is how can a person accurately check the tension the way you have described? Unless you mean strength( is 4 spring tension stronger than 2 spring tension- meaning the 2 springs are bigger on the Xtreme)

Sullivan tester would be the easiest, I would think.

The 2 coiled full size traps have very little pan tension with wax on the pan notch. Never tested them with a tester.
