Yep...I believe that the POTUS knows exactly what he is doing..I think he gets almost real time reports many,many times throughout the day and night if need be..I thought his re election speech for his second term was fantastic and right on with his enemy's on the left..(Kavanaugh debacle)..they try and destroy constantly..anyways Mr Trump knows exactly who the players are who they are backed by..Even with the current events happening on the globe..The president was extremely focused on the current agenda for that evening..anyways..May God Help Him..PREVAIL...and "Keep America Great"

Yep..When Mr. Trump called for a "Stand Down"...Leaders of all Governments in the world had a sigh of relief..The world is so small now. that any bump in the world will cause an effect in any country at any time..I haven't heard of the POTUS approval rating is today..I'm sure it rising..Time is on his side...

If are sanctions and political pressure have Iran on the ropes as many think wouldn't it be foolish to change our strategy now? It's not a pride thing (they attacked us so we have to show them) it's about winning. If we really have them about choked out just keep the pressure on and be patient. Now if it's a nuclear weapons concern that's a whole other issue. Keep in mind I believe a lot of Irans nuclear stuff and some of its military stuff is so far under ground its extremely difficult to destroy from above. They've been working for years be able to defend themselves against our air strikes. They saw what happened to Iraq . I think we about had them choked out till someone from the USA came in and saved them.

Further, Gary seems vapor locked on the fact that the Iranians are already here. All Muslims aren’t Iranian. We can debate the merits of Muslims in our society or the security concerns. On board with that discussion. Further, Iranians aren’t even considered Arabs. Bin Laden ? Arab. Ayatollah? Persian. Might seem like semantics to us, it’s a big deal in the Islamic world.

Further, you guys do know that essentially we have Iran contained militarily based on the region. Qatar, UAE, Kuwait , etc.. On the western side , it borders Afghanistan with Shindand air base literally right there. Aside from their harassing tactics, they’re a defanged lion.

Forgot the 5th Fleet/NAVCENTCOM based in Bahrain. The region’s covered.

Incidentally, it’d be awesome if they launched attacks against Shindand. That’d make it a NATO problem.

I think because the flagged ships aren’t NATO members. I think. But , again, there are other countries who have much higher stakes than us in this. Where are they ? I say until they show some testicles , I’m not real concerned about us needing to commit a thing .

Far as the drone, we keep hearing it may have been a mistake. We don’t have diplomatic ties with Iran. But many of our allies do . I’m wondering if we’re getting that information from conversations that are being held amongst them.

Not a diplomat , never have been. But that seems like parents fighting who won’t speak to each other so they relay messages through the kids. That’d suck.

Well NATO countries didn’t hesitate to send troops post 9/11 . Many are still in Afghanistan. Last I remember ( could’ve changed since I was there ) Shindand AB that region were the responsibility of the Italians. Germans were up north and the Brits to the Southwest.

Referring to my earlier post about NATO; I guess RC-Southwest no longer exists . But the RC-South is under the responsibility of The Netherlands.
